New Chicks In The Family

Good morning and happy weekend! We made it through another week :)

I just had to come on here and share with you guys our latest adventure here in Kim. Some of you have probably already seen the new members of our family on Instagram, Snapchat, or Facebook but I wanted to share some more photos of them with y'all.

The other day D was in one of the bigger towns that surrounds us taking care of some stuff for his EMT certification. I had asked him to run to Big R to get dog food and while he was there he sent me a picture of the chicks they have right now (I wonder if he regrets doing that now lol).

I jokingly sent him a text saying that he should get some and with a little convincing and telling him how much Cash would love them, he got them!!! I was so excited, you guys. Lol

We were kind of nervous that our dog would eat them. I still watch him closely everyday because he looks at the chicks like they're a plate of chicken nuggets ready to get eaten. Lol. I'm not kidding though, he licks his lips and stares at them all. day. long.

Cash was napping when D got home with them, so he set everything up for the babies and once it was all good to go, we got Cash up. He was SO excited. After he wakes up from his nap or in the mornings now, his first thing he does is check on his chickens. It's so cute.

When we let the chickens walk around in the kitchen the first night so the boys could check them out, they really made Stetson crawl. He learned to crawl maybe a week or so ago, but having a chick in front of him really made him cruise. It was so cute.

I decided to name them after classic country singers. Patsy, Loretta, Dolly and June. I thought that was cute for them and goes with our theme of 'country' names in our family.

It's been so fun seeing how much Cash and Stetson love them. I love doing stuff like this with our boys so they can grow up with animals and learn the responsibility and care that goes into having animals. I know they're both a little young to help out with everything, but Cash does some small chores that I help him with and I truly think leading by example is one of the best ways for kids to learn.

It cracks me up that D agreed to getting us chickens, but I think those last minute decisions like that are sometimes the best ones. :)

Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend and follow me on Instagram (@mandythemomma) so you can stay updated on the chickens and boys. Lol ;)

Bloomlife Pregnancy Tracker + Contraction Monitor Review

I can't believe that as of today I am 34 weeks pregnant. This pregnancy has flown by and we are so close to meeting our third son! I've had the opportunity to try a product recently that has been incredible and I'm so excited to share about it with you guys. I'll be sharing about the Bloomlife contraction monitor in this post and sharing my honest review.

Most of you know this is my third pregnancy. Now, I'm no expert at motherhood and pregnancy, but I do have some experience since this is my third time around. With my first two sons, I never felt any Braxton Hicks. Braxton Hicks are contractions that occur before real labor. They are normal to experience and they are not a sign that you're about to give birth. I like to think of them as the bodies way of preparing for labor. They can start fairly early in your pregnancy and you might not even know that you're experiencing them.  (A good thing to remember about Braxton Hicks and real labor contractions is …

How to Become an Influencer + Collab with Companies

If you want to become an influencer and start collaborating with companies, keep reading! I share my journey as an influencer so far and all that I've learned. Hopefully this can help you get started :)
I'm going to apologize in advance if this is all over the place. Hahaha. Blogging while your needy sick toddlers are around isn't the easiest and I've thought of a million different things I want to talk about as I've been writing, so this may seem a bit scatterbrained. Lol. But hopefully this can help some of y'all that have wanted to start doing this! I enjoy being honest with you guys and hope that you all know how thankful I am for every one of you that I have connected with online!

If you've been following me on Instagram for awhile, you'll know that I haven't been doing this for a long time. In fact, my first collaboration wasn't even until around April of this year, so I've only been doing this for around 9 months. I'm still very …

Being a Young Mom: My Age Doesn't Define My Ability to be a Good Mom

"Being a young parent means we met a little early, but it also means I get to love you a little longer."
I got pregnant when I was 19. My boyfriend (now husband for over 4 years) and I had only known each other for around 7-8 months by the time I got pregnant.
I always hoped I'd be a mom someday, but I never thought I'd become a mom so young. My body was still growing and changing when I got pregnant. I barely had anytime to just feel like a young woman with a woman's body. And before I knew it, my body was no longer just my body...
My belly and my breasts grew, my feet got swollen, and my skin was no longer smooth... It was hard saying goodbye to my body and knowing things would never quite be the same, but I saw the beauty in it. I knew my body was made for growing life and I tried my best to embrace the changes and prepare for my new life as a young mother.

There are a couple things that I think are amazing (and of course not the only amazing things, but jus…
